Police Call Special Meeting After Two Silver Spring Homicides

A police lieutenant will speak to residents about the investigations.

Two men found dead in Silver Spring, possibly from gunshot wounds, in just four days prompted a special meeting with Montgomery County Police's 3rd District leader.  Last Friday, 21-year-old Jesse Campos was shot dead in his White Oak apartment. Police said an investigation revealed that two suspects tried to get into the residence by forcing a roommate to open the door. After the suspects gained entry, they shot Campos and fled the scene, police said, leaving the male roommate and another adult female uninjured inside. Officers responded to Castle Boulevard in the Briggs Chaney neighborhood late Monday night with reports of shots fired. An unidentified male was found dead on a paved path behind an apartment with trauma to his body. …
