Wheaton Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested
The assault took place in a neighborhood near the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Weller Road in Wheaton.
Montgomery County police arrested a Wheaton man Tuesday night in a reported sexual assault in the area of Connecticut Avenue and Weller Road. Trent Elijah Curtis, 22, of the 2300 block of Georgian Woods Place, has been charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and possession of marijuana and drug related paraphernalia that was found on him, according to a statement from police. Curtis was released on bond and is awaiting a Feb. 14 court date. Before the assault, Fourth District officers had observed a man following a woman into a neighborhood in the area of Connecticut Avenue and Weller Road at approximately 7:45 p.m., according to police.
