With the passing of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins, Joe and his wife Rachel have high hopes to bring back the small-town vibe that preceded them.
Hawkins Produce, known for its apple cider and tomatoes, has been a staple in Kensington since 1979. But most importantly, they were known for their family-like atmosphere. Since the owners Jim and Ann Hawkins died in 1998 and 2001, respectively, the business just hasn't been the same.
