Having won two straight state championships, theBethesda-Chevy Chase girls soccer team is feared throughout the entire region. According to Walter Johnson coach Elizabeth Friedman, the Barons are so accomplished that is it tough to train a team to face them. "I'm not sure you can fully prepare for a team that is as solid and smart as they are," she said. Despite her doubt, Friedman was able to do just that, as her WJ Wildcats (5-1) defeated visiting B-CC (2-2) on Wednesday by a final score of 1-0. Granted, her cause was aided by a fierce lightning storm which terminated the match two minutes and 31 seconds early.
