Police closed Chevy Chase Circle and surrounding streets early Sunday morning after a suspect crashed a reportedly stolen vehicle in the circle and fled on foot, news outlets reported.

Pr. George's Sheriff's Deputies Catch Thanksgiving Carjacker Suspects

Father in the car with young daughter was approached by male suspects with a gun, according to the Sheriff's Office.

  Prince George's Sheriff's Deputies arrested two male suspects who allegedly robbed and carjacked a man and his young daughter at gunpoint on Thanksgiving. The Sheriff's office alleges Francis Holmes and James Gross approached the man as he was parked in the 3200 block of Taylor Street in Mt. Rainer. One of the suspects pointed a silver handgun at the victim when he got out of the car and took his wallet, cell phone and vehicle keys, according to the Sheriff's Office. The victim was able to remove his daughter before the suspects fled the scene in his car. Detectives apprehended Holmes and Gross at the 2900 block of Bunker Hill Rd., according to the Sheriff's Office. Holmes and Gross were charged with armed carjacking, first- and second-…

Carjacking Near Grosvenor Metro

Two armed, masked men carjacked a Lexus at gunpoint on Sunday evening, Jan. 15, in the 10500 block of Weymouth Street, near the Rockville-Bethesda border, police said.

A carjacking occurred in the 10500 block of Weymouth Street, near the Bethesda-Rockville border, on Sunday evening, Jan. 15, according to the Montgomery County Police Department. The car—a black Lexus SUV with Maryland license plate No. 2MD2633—was taken at gunpoint from its driver—a commercial delivery driver—by two black men in their 20s. Both men were about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 160 pounds, and both wore masks and dark clothing, according to police. In addition to the SUV, the men took the commercial proceeds (an undetermined amount of money, police said) of the delivery driver's workday. The delivery driver was not harmed, police added.
