Inner Loop Accident Causing Beltway Delays

A four-car accident on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway between Connecticut and Georgia avenues is causing delays, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

A four-car collision on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway between Connecticut and Georgia avenues is slowing down beltway traffic just in time for the rush-hour commute. The accident happened at about 4:15, and two lanes were closed. The lanes are back open again, but traffic is still slow. All four drivers of the cars were evaluated at the accident site, but no one was taken to the hospital, reports Oscar Garcia of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service. The accident is being classed as as property damage collision, meaning that only the cars—and not the people in them—were hurt, Garcia said.
