Casino-Themed Fundraiser Draws Donations for Childhood Brain Cancer Research

Supporters of The Childhood Brain Tumor Foundation placed their bets and rolled the dice at the organization's annual casino-themed fundraiser Saturday night. The Casino Gala Party drew more than 150 attendants and foundation directors said they expected the event to bring in around $40,000 in donations. Created in 1994, the Childhood Brain Foundation Tumor Foundation is a nation-wide support group that funds scientific research for brain cancer treatment and raises awareness about the disease. At the black tie event held in The Woman's Club of Chevy Chase, visitors had a chance to try their luck at an assortment of casino games.
