Bethesda Teens Steal SUV Left Running in Driveway

Two 15-year-old boys were arrested last month after driving away in a homeowner's Isuzu Rodeo.

Two 15-year-old Bethesda boys were arrested after police say they stole an SUV that a resident had left running in his driveway in the Ashburton neighborhood last month. Poice responded to the 10000 block of Sinnott Drive in Bethesda around 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, according to police spokeswoman Officer Rebecca Innocenti. A resident reported that he had left his Isuzu Rodeo running in the driveway of his home, leaving the keys in the ignition, and went inside for a “moment,” Innocenti said. That’s when he said two teen boys stole the vehicle and drove off. The man was able to give police a description of the suspects and the direction in which he had last seen them driving. Pr. George's Sheriff's Deputies Catch Thanksgiving Carjacker Suspects

Father in the car with young daughter was approached by male suspects with a gun, according to the Sheriff's Office.

  Prince George's Sheriff's Deputies arrested two male suspects who allegedly robbed and carjacked a man and his young daughter at gunpoint on Thanksgiving. The Sheriff's office alleges Francis Holmes and James Gross approached the man as he was parked in the 3200 block of Taylor Street in Mt. Rainer. One of the suspects pointed a silver handgun at the victim when he got out of the car and took his wallet, cell phone and vehicle keys, according to the Sheriff's Office. The victim was able to remove his daughter before the suspects fled the scene in his car. Detectives apprehended Holmes and Gross at the 2900 block of Bunker Hill Rd., according to the Sheriff's Office. Holmes and Gross were charged with armed carjacking, first- and second-…
