Recent Washington City Paper and Gizmodo articles claim the DMV’s beloved Apple stores are less a family of loving technology geniuses than one of mercenary techies, where to work at Montgomery Mall is apparently to be exiled to a desert of shame. The City Paper based its account off an anonymous ex-employee's email to Gizmodo, revealing “DMV Apple stores are like a high-tech Glengarry Glen Ross, with a bit of Man in the Iron Mask thrown in." According to the articles, the Georgetown store reigns supreme, constantly shattering business records.
