Donate a new pair of pajamas to Montgomery County’s less fortunate residents and receive a free cup of frozen yogurt this weekend. In exchange for a donation of new pajamas to local non-profit A Wider Circle, Potomac’s Orange Leaf Yogurt will offer a free 3-ounce yogurt to customers all day Sunday. Based in Silver Spring, A Wider Circle is a nonprofit program benefiting adults and children affected by homelessness, poverty and substance abuse in the greater-Washington DC area. The Orange Leaf fundraiser is asking for new clothing in both adult and children’s sizes to be donated at its Cabin John Mall location. For more information call the store at 301-983-0292.

Montgomery County families facing hard times and a rapidly approaching holiday season need help, organizers of nonprofit A Wider Circle told local news outlets. The organization was chosen as the county's partner in the annual Holiday Giving Project, which pairs faith-based, nonprofit and government sponsors with people in need by zip code. This year, organizers told the Gazette newspaper that two zip codes in Silver Spring, one zip code in Wheaton and one zip code in Aspen Hill are still without a sponsor, a week before Thanksgiving.
