Public housing is not concentrated housing. Instead, it is a house or apartment that HOC owns. The rent is based on income and is reasonable.
The Housing Choice Voucher program, formerly known as Section 8, provides a voucher to cover a portion of the rent. The resident pays the difference.
The mortgage purchase program helps applicants find good interest rates. All of these programs work to assist applicants in obtaining homes that are within their own income. HOC has a Facebook page to help educate consumers about the program options.
