The Democratic party was founded in 1792 by Thomas Jefferson, and the Maryland Democratic Party came to be in 1827. The Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee has been hard at work since 1964. The committee's main focus is getting people to register to vote and to educate voters on candidates. Adittionally, the committee is always looking for volunteers and interns to help with community outreach opportunities and election-related activites.
