Have seen roaches in the dining area, the place is filthy. The food is okay, not great, Manny's across the street is way way better. And, Continental does not accept credit or debit cards, they are CASH ONLY! I know this place is an institution, but it is not very good, and never has been, going all the way back to the mid-1980's when I first started eating there.
Please edit the "Payments Accepted" to reflect the cash only policy, they do not take credit or debit cards of any kind under any circumstances.
7/13/12, just ate a standard steak & cheese, with mushroom, onion LTM. the price $5.80 good but can't say the same for the sub, way too salty. looked more like cheese wiz, the mushrooms black and the meat is merely some brand of steak-um out of a box. these other reviewers are writing like it is sliced rib eye steak. it was gross and I would not eat there again. How they have been in business almost 40 years it probable due to cheap prices and not being in an area heavily populated with restaurants in the past. So when it is the only sub shop in town, that were people eat. these other reviews are hard to believe.
