PHOTO GALLERY: Thousands Give Back at 2011 MLK Day of Service Event

Adults, high school groups, Girl Scout Brownies, and even Lt. Governor Brown lended a helping hand at the Bethesda North Marriott Conference Center.

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 2011 Day of Service and Volunteer Fair, hosted by the Montgomery County Volunteer Center, was held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center on Jan. 17. This indoor event, gave adults and children a chance to participate in a number of service activities including registering as a bone marrow donor, packing lunches for Meals on Wheels, and making tissue paper flowers as centerpieces for local nursing homes.
