Kensington Hosts Valentine's Party for Special-Needs Kids

Children's entertainer the Great Zucchini wowed the crowd.

The town hall played host to quite the Valentine's Day party this week, as children's entertainer the Great Zucchini donated his services to brighten the day for some special-needs kids.

More than 45 people showed up to the event, organized by Kensington resident Barrie Carr. Among them were County Council Phil Andrews and Del. Al Carr, Barrie's husband.

Barrie Carr said special-needs children are often picked last for teams and left out of playdates, and Tuesday's event was a chance for them to have some fun and hang out together.
