MARCH MELODIES

This is a brief celebration of the revival of the spring season.

Outside  at  the  moment,  the  wind  is  silent;  nothing  moving

except  people  walking  their  dogs.  Early  in  the  morn

much  activity  surrounded  the  monthly  pancake  breakfast

weather  event;  a  stiff  breeze  now  blowing  as  I  observe  the

freshly  popping  dafodils  and  hyacinths  peaking  their  first  sight

of  new  growth  in  the  blush  of  a  light  snow.  The  azaleas  in

front  of  the  living  room  shiver  as  if  buffeted  by  a  silent  whisper  of

wildness.  As  I  open  my  front  door  my  greeting  is  from

very  cheerful  wind  chimes  with  the  bells  of  rejoicing  in  a  coming

awakening  of  freshness  coming  to  our  town,  our  land  and  street.

To  my  wonderment  and  delight  I  notice  the  earliest  stretching  of

a  tree  by  street  sidewalk   is  speaking  to  me  ever  so  lovingly.

"Come  forth;  I  beckon  one  and  and  all,  stretch  your  senses;  smell

the  newness  of  the  season,  rejoice  in  all  awakening,  soon

and  very  soon  the  robins  and  sparrows  will  waken  our  spirts

to  a  continued  freshness  of  renewal!!
