February Fluff

This is a short piece about the mild winter, snow wise we have had this year.

Driving  back  from  Waynesboro,  Pa.  early  Wednesday  evening

a  light  snow  began  to  fall,  ever  so  beautiful  with  a  decidedly

biting  briskness  in  the  damp  air.  The  further  I  drove  the  more  snow

seemed  to  fall  without  significant  accumulation.  Montgomery  County

loomed  dark  and  dank  in  my  drive;  more  wind,  more  snow,  less  fun.

By  the  time  I  got  to  the  Rockville  area  I  could  hardly  see  the  road

or  traffic  in  front  of  me.  Finally  on  Rockville  Pike  it  just  about  completely

stopped.  What  appeared  at  first  to  be  a  developing  major  storm

turns  out  to  be  a  February  fluffy  fizzle.   No  more  than  tiny  white  drops

all  over  my  windshield.  I  am  weary,  blessed  and  filled  to  overflowing

with  thanksgiving.
