There's been lots of discussion about government salaries lately, with Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett proposing pay raises for most county workers in 2014 and 2015.

These do not seem to include MCPS salaries. Surely several executives there make more than this!

Exactly. These numbers tell the less-important half of the equation. What matters is if these salaries (which aren't especially high for the area) are well earned.

Good salaries, but still far short of comparable private sector jobs that manage multi-million/billion dollar budgets. If they are managing their piece of the $4Billion+ annual budget in MC, they should be paid these salaries.

You said that right!!! I'm sure the Department of Correction director is not doing a thing but letting the supervisor do all his work. Don't have a clue on what the employers are dealing with. Wasted money people getting paid off the tax payers money. They don't need large salaries like this. "For What"!!!!
