Is the White Flint Metro Pedestrian-Friendly?

When you exit the White Flint Metro Station and look south across Marinelli Road, you see a mid-street wall, preventing pedestrians from crossing, and it wasn't always this way.

Until 2005, there was a striped crosswalk from the station the Nuclear Regulatory Commission building across Marinelli Road, according to Greater Greater Washington, and that allowed pedestrians easy access to the area and to Rockville Pike.

But since Montgomery County built the wall, pedestrians have had to walk to the intersection of Marinelli Road and Rockville Pike, which Greater Greater Washington says slows down the flow of riders walking to their destinations.
