The Govenor and representatives blind sided us with the SB 281 gun ban. The tragic deaths of children by a mentally ill person in Conneticut has no bearing on our community and does not justify a bill that removes our Constitutional right wether you are gun owner or not. Historically the 2nd ammedment was created not for hunting or sport but to provide we the people with the arms and legs to remove tyrannical and unconstitutional governments. Maryland has no right to remove my liberties provided by the United States Constitution. Focus on mental health access, enforcing the laws already in place and increasing the resource officers already in some of our schools now. As a parent I felt very secure knowing there were resource officers in my child's school here in District 18. This is the final straw for me if this bill is passed. I will take my business, employees and tax dollars elsewhere.
