2012 Presidential Election Judges Needed

Montgomery County Board of Elections is searching for election judges for the upcoming presidential elections in November.

Election judges are responsible for making sure the polling place runs smoothly and montiors the polls to make sure the elections are carried out honestly, fairly, and accurately.

They also have to be registered to vote in the State of Maryland, according to the election code.

Judges are expected to know how to speak, read, and write the English language. Bilingual judges and election judge alternates are needed as well.

While acting as a judge, the candidate must not hold or be a candidate for public or party office. They may not serve as a campaign manager for a candidate or as treasurer for any campaign financial entity.

Training is provided as well as compensation.
