Small Microwave Fire Reported on Farragut Avenue

The fire was put out quickly, Assistant Chief Scott Graham said.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded late Saturday morning to a small fire that started in a microwave in a single-family home at 3708 Farragut Avenue in Kensington.

Everyone was out of the house when firefighters arrived on the scene, Assistant Chief Scott Graham said. The fire was put out quickly, and there was minimal damage to kitchen cabinets, he added.
