Update: 93-year-old Killed in Pedestrian Collision

Man was hit by three cars, police say.

Update, 3:30 p.m.: A 93-year-old man was killed in Kensington this morning after being struck by three cars on Newport Mill Road, police said.

Semen Buslovich, of Kensington, was crossing Newport Mill Road near the Lawrence Avenue intersection at around 7 a.m. when he was hit by a car traveling southbound, according to Montgomery County Police. He was then struck by two more cars going northbound, police said.

Buslovich was pronounced dead at the scene.

None of the three drivers was injured in the crash, according to police, and all of them remained at the scene after the incident.

Police are still investigating the crash and are asking anyone who witnessed it to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 301-840-2435.

Original story, 8:50 a.m.: A man was struck and killed by a car near the intersection of Newport Mill Road and Lawrence Avenue this morning, according to police.

The collision is still under investigation, Capt. Paul Starks said, and officers are diverting traffic from the area.

Starks said Montgomery County Police are yet to establish who's at fault in the crash, but that pedestrians and drivers need to take care to stay alert of one another, especially in inclement weather.
