Police Blotter: May 23 - 31

Police released recent crime information on June 8.

Montgomery County Police released a recent crime summary for the week of May 23 through 31. Below are crimes reported for Kensington and nearby area:

May 28: An indecent exposure incident occurred in South Kensington at Kingston Road and Calvend Lane at approximately 6:00 a.m. Police responded to a report of a naked male sitting in a pine tree approximately 30 feet up. The suspect was coaxed out of the tree and back into his clothes before being taken to central processing. A 20-year-old male from from Chevy Chase was arrested.

May 30 - 31:  A commercial burglary occurred at Mixt Greens, at 10217 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda. Entry into building was forced and cash taken.

May 29: A residence was burglarized in the 4800 block of Cloister Drive, Bethesda. Entry Unforced entry; nothing taken.

May 28 - 29: Property was taken from an unlocked garage at a home in the 9000 block of Levelle Drive in Chevy Chase.

May 25 - 29: Several thefts of items from vehicles were reported in the Bethesda area, all from cars that had been left unlocked:

  • In the 8300 & 8400 blocks of Westmont Terrace, three incidents were reported involving GPS units and iPods taken overnight May 25- 26. 
  • At Irvington Avenue and Glenwood Road, GPS units were taken from two cars overnight May 26 -27.
  • A hood ornament was pried off a Mercedes in the 6600 block of Wilson Lane overnight May 28 - 29. 

May 23 - 24: Property was stolen from a construction site in the 11600 block of Landsdown Street, Bethesda.
