Police Blotter: Jan. 17 to Jan. 27

Police released recent crime information on Feb. 3.

Montgomery County Police released a recent crime summary for the week of Jan. 17 through Jan. 27, which included an armed robbery, residential burglary and aggravated assault.

Jan. 23 - 24: A residential burglary occurred in the 11300 block of Connecticut Avenue sometime between Sunday, Jan. 23, and Monday, Jan. 24. Police found no evidence of forced entry, but property was taken from the residence.

Jan. 24: An aggravated assault occurred in the 11300 block of Connecticut Avenue at 2:30 p.m. A verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation where a firearm was present. The suspect is a 21-year-old black male. The 5-foot-9-inch man weighs approximately 130 pounds and was seen in a blue Saturn.

Jan. 24: An armed robbery occurred at off of Connecticut Avenue at 9:30 p.m. An employee was closing up the store when the suspect approached with a gun. When the suspect turned away, the victim fled the scene and ran for help. The suspect is a 5-foot-11-inch male between the age of 25 and 28. He was wearing a cream-colored ski mask and cream colored gloves.
