Police Arrest Greenbelt Man in Hardware Store Robbery

26-year-old suspect charged with holding up Hardware City.

Montgomery County Police arrested 26-year-old Koda Squalls today in connection with an at earlier this year.

Squalls, of Greenbelt, is charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault and use of a handgun in comission of a violent felony, according to police.

Police say Squalls, a former employee, walked into Hardware City on Jan. 24 brandishing a handgun, wearing a ski mask and ordering the cashier to open the safe. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police, but not before being cut and leaving some blood at the scene.

Police used DNA analysis to match the blood at the store to Squalls, and he was arrested without incident at his home in Greenbelt today, according to police.

He is being held on $15,000 bond.
