Update: No One Injured in House Fire

Home under construction catches fire on Franklin Avenue.

An early morning house fire on Franklin Avenue in Kensington resulted in no injuries today, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters responded to the under-construction home at a 4 a.m., Assistant Chief Scott Graham said, finding the house ablaze. They worked to keep the flames from spreading, and the fire has since been extinguished, he said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Graham said, and we'll keep you updated on the story as we get more details.
