According to KVFD Chief Heflin, the “significant fire” was in the basement of the single-family home. Two individuals, an elderly woman and a caregiver, were assessed on the scene and treated for smoke inhalation, but were not taken to the hospital.
When asked if the occupants would be able to remain in the residence, Heflin remarked that they would not because the basement was “completely engulfed in flames.”
