Gaithersburg police remind citizens who are out shopping to please keep in mind the following:

  • Park in well-lit parking lots and park as close to the mall or store as possible.
  • Lock your car doors and keep packages hidden in the trunk or under the seats of your vehicle.
  • Do not carry large amounts of cash with you, and pay with checks or credit cards when possible.
  • Ensure that you are not encumbered with a large number of packages. Try to make trips back to your vehicle to store packages in the trunk as you continue to shop.

I am sick of that mall. Now there are a bunch of drunks that hang outside every day. They have turned the area outside the food court into a stoop. Dont go there unless I really have to. I would rather drive to Tysons or Montgomery Mall.

I hate to go to LFM. Passing the entrance on the side the food court is a bunch of low class people smoking, drinking and taking dirty. I get intimidate each time I have to pass by.

Have not been there for so long, if I need something from Macy's, JCP, Lord and Taylor, etc. I go in and out that entrance. The mall has become a bad hangout for the bad element. Easier to shop online, most of the places mentioned above offer free shipping and if you don't like it, you can return it to the store in person.
