Planners Envision Chevy Chase Lake Sector Development

CHEVY CHASE — At a Montgomery County Planning Board work session earlier this month, county planning staff presented drawings of what the Chevy Chase Lake sector could look like if built up according to staff recommendations for height and density. Blind Runner Goes the Distance at Seneca Valley
GERMANTOWN — High school cross-country runner Angie Fuentes faces a challenge most runners don’t — she can’t see the course. “I was born blind,” Fuentes said during a recent practice at Seneca Valley. Patch chatted with Fuentes about overcoming obstacles and why she loves running. “To me, it's freedom,” Fuentes told Patch. “Nothing stops you from anything. Suspect in Custody in Takoma School Shooting

A suspect is in custody in a shooting at Coolidge High School, across the Takoma Park border in Takoma, D.C., according to an NBC 4 Washington report. The victim, an 18-year-old male, was shot in the leg, according to the report. The shooting happened in the school's rear parking lot.
