Last Chance: Youth Fitness, Poetry Challenge

This week there's a couple deadlines coming up for the children and teens in Kensington.

is hosting a poetry challenge that ends at 11:59 p.m. Friday, May 4.

You have to write a poem in 200 words or less that celebrates Earth Day. The prize? An all-expense paid trip to New York City and $500. Six students will win. You must be 18 years old or younger. Check out the Kumon Challenge Facebook page for more details.

It's your last chance to sign up for a six-week youth fitness program that will test your teens' speed, agility and quickness. The program begins on May 7 at and will run Mondays and Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m.
