Springtime Smoothies for the Whole Family

The flowers are blooming, the house is being spring cleaned (hopefully!) and the kids are outdoors a bit later in the day, but you still feel 'blah' from the winter months. It's time to try a Green Smoothie to boost your intake of healthy, greens and introduce a fun recipe to the family. Did you know you can make them in under five minutes? Even the kids can get involved!

Check out my recipe below:

The goal is 40% greens to 60% fruit when you first begin making green smoothies. As you get used to them, you will actually crave them and you can add more greens to less fruit! The key to the taste? The strongest fruits take on ALL of the flavor and over-power the greens - you barely taste greens at all! In this recipe, the banana, peanut butter & berries lead the palette. Try a green smoothie today and let me know how it goes!
