The Kensington Day of the Book Festival, now in it's 8th year, is a celebration of the International Day of the Book, of the importance of books in our lives, and also of the unique warmth and charm of Old Town Kensington. Over 100 authors and others will line Howard Avenue to show, sell, and discuss their works. Highlights include live music by the Nighthawks, Hangover Royale, and other local musicians, author and poetry readings, a food court, an art exhibit, chess playing, and special guests. Children's activities include a scavenger hunt, children's authors, storytellers and young poets, make-a-book, and more! Please check the website often as programs and schedules are added, and to see listings of participating authors and others.
