The Odd Couple (Both Versions) at Einstein High School

Einstein S.T.A.G.E. is proud to present both the male and female versions of Neil Simon's classic The Odd Couple!
The original Odd Couple, written and set in the 1960s, follows two unorthodox roommates: Oscar, the slovenly sportswriter content with the trash littering his apartment, and Felix, his neurotic, seemingly suicidal neat freak of a tenant. Oscar has graciously offered his poker buddy Felix a place to stay during his recovery from a horrible divorce, but he fails to anticipate Felix's hysterical state. Felix's absurd mannerisms and depressed demeanor quickly get to Oscar, who finds himself regretting ever letting Felix through the door.
Neil Simon rewrote The Odd Couple for female leads in the 1980s; Oscar and Felix became Olive and Florence.  The plot is similar, but certainly different enough that going to both versions would not be repetitive!
Each show features a hilarious set of poker/trivial pursuit buddies, including Murray/Mickey the Cop, spacey Vinnie/Vera, gruff Speed/Sylvie, and practical Roy/Renee. In addition, each version has a hilarious scene in which Felix/Florence and Oscar/Olive double date with two hysterical foreigners (this scene always steals the show!)
We hope you'll attend BOTH versions of The Odd Couple:
MALE: FRIDAY 11/9, SUNDAY 11/11, AND FRIDAY 11/16.FEMALE: SATURDAY 11/10, THURSDAY 11/15 AND SATURDAY 11/17.
(ALL SHOWS AT 7:00 EXCEPT FOR THE MALE SUNDAY MATINEE.)
