Creative Spirit: Spiritual Art Classes Open House: Monday, Sept. 16th, 7 – 8 pm

There’s a new art studio in the neighborhood! Creative Spirit: Spiritual Art Classes is based on a unique concept of combining the guidance of God with the knowledge of how to create art into one big powerful confidence booster for young artists. Our first class offering, Elements of Art,” focuses on the 8 elements of art and awaking the creative spirit inside each of us.

Creative Spirit: Elements of Art

  • What: Interfaith spiritual art class
  • Who: 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade Artists
  • When: 8 weekly lessons: Oct. 5 – Nov. 23, Saturday mornings: 10 am – 11:30 am
  • Where: Good Shepherd Church,  3701 Spruell Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20902   (Near North Kensington)
  • Cost: Regular Class Fee: $120  Early Bird Fee: $110 if you register by Sept. 16!

Children and parents are invited to come on over and check out our facilities! Learn about the exciting new curriculum, meet the teacher, participate in fun art activities, and enjoy some refreshments! If you register at the open house you will receive a $10 early bird discount off your tuition fee!

About the teacher: Kathy Kennedy received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Texas. She has worked as a professional graphic designer and illustrator for 13 years before becoming a stay at home mother of two daughters. As a Girl Scout leader, she has taught children about arts & crafts, outdoor skills, and good citizenship. She left Girl Scouting recently to pursue interests in teaching art and illustrating children’s storybooks.
