UPDATE: Giordano Ordered Held Another 60 Days in Aruba

Gary Giordano is held in connection with Robyn Gardner's disappearance.

Update, 11:50p.m.: An Aruban judge ruled today that Giordano should be held for another 60 days while authorities continue to question him,PEOPLE Magazine reported.

Original Post: The Gaithersburg man suspected in the disappearance of a North Bethesda woman in Aruba is expected to appear in court Wednesday, according to news reports.

Gary V. Giordano is suspected in the disappearance of Robyn Gardner, 35, who went missing on the Dutch Caribbean island Aug. 2. Giordano told authorities there Gardner had been swept out to sea while snorkeling.

A judge is expected to decide Wednesday whether Giordano, held since Aug. 5, should be detained further or released, the Washington Post reported.

Allegations of domestic violence have surfaced against Giordano since his arrest. PEOPLE magazine reported that of Gardner have been found on Giordano’s camera, and ABC News first reported that Giordano had taken out a on Gardner before their trip.

ABC7 is reporting Gary Giordano’s father, Frank Giordano, told the station his son is “not a monster” but a “good family man who is close to his three sons.” Giordano has not been charged with a crime.
