UPDATE NWS: Tornado Confirmed in Olney, Colesville
Strong storm sweeps through Montgomery County.

The National Weather Service is reporting that Montgomery County officials have confirmed a tornado near Colesville, five miles southwest of Olney, moving east at 50 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for Montgomery County as heavy rain is beginning to move into the county.
At 3:22 p.m. EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was near Leesburg [VA] and was moving east at 30 mph," the warning alert said.

Central Montgomery County is under a tornado warning until 4:15 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Storms moving east from Missouri have the potential to produce damaging wind gusts, hail and tornadoes.
A "warning" means conditions leading to thunderstorms or tornadoes are imminent or occurring.
The entire Washington, DC region is also under a flash flood watch for much of Thursday.
