Report: Rock Creek Hills Park Now Owned by Board of Ed

Despite neighbor protests, a Kensington park will become the site of a new middle school for Montgomery County Public Schools.

Plans are moving forward for Bethesda-Chevy Chase Middle School, despite neighbor’s protests and a lawsuit by residents of Kensington’s Rock Creek Hills community, The Gazette reports.

Rock Creek Hills Local Park, at 3701 Saul Road, is now officially Montgomery County Board of Education property, the newspaper reported.

The park will stay open for as long as possible. The school is scheduled to be finished by August 2017, according to The Gazette.
