FBI Searching Giordano's Gaithersburg Home

Man believed connected to woman's disappearance.

FBI agents from Baltimore searched the home of Gary Giordano, the man held by Aruban law enforcement for the disappearance of Robyn Gardner.

Special Agent Richard Wolf said Friday night that agents arrived about 8:45 p.m. and were still conducting the search 45 minutes later. 

"We're working with the Aruban authorities. We have enough probable cause to conduct a search warrant at the gentleman's residence," Wolf said.

Gardner, 35, was last seen while on vacation in Aruba Aug. 2. Gardner maintained an apartment in Frederick but lived mostly with her boyfriend, Richard Forester, in the Grosvenor neighborhood,  Patch. The two both worked in downtown Bethesda, but Gardner had recently lost her job, Forester said.

told authorities in Aruba that Gardner disappeared while the two were snorkeling. Giordano has been detained in connection with Gardner’s disappearance, and the Washington Post reported that he has in the past been "been accused by two Montgomery County women of domestic abuse or threats."
