An Editor's Farewell

First Kensington Patch editor logs out.

In a little more than a week, I'll have reached my year anniversary with Patch, but I'll be celebrating the accomplishment in a new place. As we publish this Editor's Note, I am headed to Philadelphia to embark on a new Patch position as an associate local editor, working with several sites in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Since the launch of Kensington Patch on September 15, 2010, I've attended and reported on countless town hall meetings (and now a Kensington election), met many Kensington shop owners, dined at several of the eateries (and covered some of their openings: , and ) and have had the opportunity to meet, work and connect with many Kensington Patch readers.

While filling the role of editor, Kensington Patch , which triggered almost 40 comments and several user submitted photos and video. We covered the preparations leading up to the Day of the Book and the festival itself, which gave me and other Patchers a great opportunity to mingle with the community. We've worked dilligently to cover the sector plan and its progress. And we even took time to relax and listen to the music as and .
