5 Things You Need To Know Today: June 28

Voila five brief items to keep in mind on this lovely Tuesday.

1. Over the weekend, the Montgomery County Police Department hosted a softball tournament featuring teams of officers from all over the East Coast, and our Emma Patti and Anthony Harris were there to get .

2. Speaking of MCPD, the department is using last week's car theft to remind Kensingtonians to secure their property and keep their vehicles safe. We jotted down a few of their tips .

3. Looks like rain this afternoon, with a high near 85 and a low of about 67. If you're keeping score at home, this is the third time the National Weather Service has predicted rain for Kensington in the past week, and we've had but a few drops here and there since. But it's better to needlessly lug about an umbrella than to get caught in a downpour, so do the right thing, yeah?

4. Down the road in Wheaton, someone . Police are holding a suspect who they say was positively ID'd by the bank staff. They're not releasing his name until they file charges.
