The Latino Economic Development Corporation is offering free seminars on how to get a food truck business up and running. The seminars include financial advice, as well as guidance on obtaining the correct licenses and permits.

Although there are no more available spots in the first seminar, scheduled for Wednesday evening, a repeat seminar will be offered Oct. 24, from 7-8 p.m. at LEDC's offices at 2405 Price Avenue, Wheaton, MD. Anyone interested in participating should register in advance with LEDC by calling 202-540-7424.

What kind of food trucks do you think would do well in Wheaton? Tell us in the comments.

I'd like to hear whether restaurant owners in Wheaton feel they are affected by food trucks or are concerned about being affected by them. As a person who enjoys different foods, I like food trucks generally. As a Wheaton homeowner, I'd like food trucks as a complement to strong restaurant sales. Consequently, I'd like to see store fronts being filled with desirable businesses (including restaurants) before seeing lots of food trucks.
