Kensington’s Third Thursday Night Out to Feature Soft Opening of New Store

Music, food and great deals abound at evening event.

 

The Town of Kensington is hosting “Third Thursday Night Out” on Sept. 20, an event featuring 22 local merchants keeping their doors open late, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., offering entertainment, specials, discounts, samples and more.

Gala, a new store that features locally crafted jewelry, accessories, toys, glass art, pottery and more, will have their “soft open” to help celebrate the Third Thursday. Stop by to watch a metalworker ply her trade, and demonstrations of Baklava Couture.

Other highlights include:

  • An interactive workout featuring tire flipping and rope waving at The Sweat Shop.
  • Cupcake specials at JennyCakes Bakery.
  • A chess challenge with Allan Savage at the Kensington Row Bookshop.
  • Discounts on antique military items at History for Sale Kensington.
  • A $5 yoga class at Allay Yoga.
  • Music "Under the Clock Tower" by Greg Dillon.
