Kensington Businesses Support Breast Cancer Research with Living In Pink
In 2004, the non-profit organization was founded by Michele Conley. Conley is a mother of four children and struggled with the illness not once but twice.
About 25 local businesses in Kensington are banding together to show their support for breast cancer with the non-profit group Living Pink.
The Old Town Kensington Merchants Association will support the breast cancer cause on Oct. 20 and Oct. 21 weekend by donation 10 percent of their gross sales.

The businesses participating include: Adah Rose Gallery, Antiques & Uniques, Arete Books, Charlotte Rich Antiques, Diane’s Antiques, Flotsam & Jetsam, G & G Antiques (Georgina’s), Goldsborough Glynn Antiques & Decorative Arts, History for Sale, Jantiques, Jennycakes, Jill & Company, Oriental Antiques, Pat Harkness Antiques, Pen Haven, Pritchard’s Antiques, Raffi Jeweler, Rosemary’s, Sage Consignments, Sally Shaffer Antiques, Split Personality, Star Antiques, The Fine Swine, The Hope Chest, The Little Painted Cottage, The Porcelain Corner, and Wisteria Antiques
Antique Row merchants are also raffling off a pair of tickets to the Living in Pink’s luncheon and boutique that will be held on Nov. 2 at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington, DC.
