Itsy Bitsy Sells 271 Charity Cookies

$1 from each owl-shaped treat will go to Noyes Library.

wrapped up its this week after selling about 271 owl-shaped cookies to benefit .

For each owl cookie sold, Itsy Bitsy has pledged to give $1 to the library's foundation.

Co-owner Laura Frene said she plans to do a final tally of the cookies sold and will cut a check to Noyes once that's done.

"It's been a big success," she said. "We're hoping to do another a charity item for this month."

Sheila Dinn, co-president of the Noyes Library Foundation, said her organization is grateful for the donation and happy to partner with Itsy Bitsy.

"We love local businesses supporting local efforts," she said. "Their food's fabulous, so we're very happy to be able to cross-market."

Frene said the bakery wants to hear from other local nonprofits about future treats for a cause, ideally selling a new charity cookie each month.
