Frugal Family: Five Deals to Stretch the Family Budget
We've scoured the neighborhood for deals, so you won't have to.
Welcome back to our weekly rundown of five local deals to help with your family’s bottom line. Since we do the scouting, we save you time as well as money.
This week, with we scoured our local sources and came up with a free meal deal for the kids (and a beverage break for you) and savings on womens clothing. Plus, savings on pet care and supplies and discount tickets on a Memorial Day outing. Remember to check with the merchant for additional conditions, if any:

Deal: Kids under age 12 eat free on Tuesdays (choose any item on the kids menu), when accompanied by a an adult purchasing a meal.
Good through: Ongoing; available all day each Tuesday (mention "kids free meal" to server).

2. Womens Clothing Savings: , 11301 Rockville Pike, 301-231-5091 (White Flint Mall).
Deals: Shop with your choice of two money-saving deals: 1) Buy one item and get 50 percent off a second (in-store or online, discount applied at checkout); or 2) Get 25 percent off your total purchase when you present their coupon (in-store only, with coupon).
Good through: June 8.
3. Beverage Break: , 7629 Old Georgetown Rd., Bethesda, 301-654-6616 (and other locations).
Deal: Get $1 off any large "Wild Beverage" you sign up for Caribou's email club and present coupon (bonus: you'll also get a free drink on your birthday).
Good Through: Coupon good through June 12; free birthday drink offer ongoing.
4. Pet Vaccinations & Supplies: , 1507 Rockville Pike, Rockville, 301-984-9733.
Deals: 1) Petco in Rockville hosts $49,"Affordable Vaccination" clinics (presented by Luv My Pet) a few times each month. Bring in your pet on clinic days to get a complete core vaccination package from a licensed veterinarian for $49, no appointment needed. 2) Save $5 on a $25 worth of pet products when you bring in their June "Pals" coupon.
Good through: Coupon valid weekend of June 11-12 only; next pet clinics scheduled for May 31 and June 5. Check website or call store for times, details and additional clinic dates.
5. Memorial Day Outing: Newseum, 555 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, 202-292-6100.
Deal: If you're looking for an activity or somewhere to take the kids, family and out-of-town-visitors on Memorial Day (or maybe you haven't been there), the Newseum is offering half-price ($10) admission with their ad.
Good through: Memorial Day, May 30 (today!).
