Frugal Family: Five Deals to Stretch the Family Budget
We've scoured the neighborhood for deals, so you won't have to.
Welcome back to our weekly rundown of five local deals to help with your family’s bottom line. Since we do the scouting, we save you time as well as money.
This week, with we scoured our local sources and came up with a discount deal on clothing and gift items (exclusively for Patch readers!). Plus, $5 (or free) movies for moms (and caregivers); savings on going out with discount tickets for a live show, a restaurant deal and more. Remember to check with the merchant for additional conditions, if any:

Deal: Patch readers save 10 percent on any of the store's clothing or giftware, plus get free gift engraving. Mention "Patch Deal" at the store or at purchase.

2. Movie Deal for Moms (and others): The Movies at Montgomery, , 7101 Democracy Blvd., Bethesda, 301-469-5110.
Deal: Moms, caregivers and children can take in a movie every Wednesday for just $5 (or enjoy a "classic" movie for free!), during the theatre's "The Movies and Mom (and other Caregivers too)" event. Children under 5 years old are admitted free.
Good through: June 1 - 29, every Wednesday at 10 a.m. (Schedule of free movies listed at website).
3. Save half on Live Musical Show: The British Players, , 3710 Mitchell St. , 301-949-2424.
Deal: Buy tickets online for half price ($15) for this humorus musical theatre's annual production, the 47th Old Time Music Hall. Beer, wine, and snacks served at your table (as part of the production) are included. Discount tickets available at Goldstar.com.
Good through: Discount tickets currently available online only for shows June 6-19; open seats vary by day. Check website for updates. Show runs through June 25.

Deal: Get 50 percent off a second entree when you buy the first one at regular price and present coupon.
Good through: May 26 (hurry!).
5. Save on an Oil Change: , 3825 Dupont Ave., 301-942-8600.
Deal: Get a coupon to save $5 on a Signature oil change when you sign up for their email list (or save $5 on another service using their Valpak coupon).
Good through: Ongoing; Valpak coupon good through June 5.
