Costco: The Before Photos

It takes a big store to hold all those giant cans of pudding and massive tubs of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter.

The Costco being built off University Boulevard at the Westfield Shopping Mall in Wheaton will be a massive structure, the construction of which is taking up much of the parking lot on the west side of the mall.

While the controversy over whether a gas station will be allowed continues, Wheaton and Kensington residents, as well as mall goers, have been watching as the giant boxy outer shell of the main store goes up.

The scale of the building indicates that those looking for large quantities of canned goods and 10 packs of tube socks won't be disappointed.

While much of the construction area is blocked by mesh screens, heavy equipment can be seen on the back side of the mall.
