MCPS Back to School Fair Aug. 24
Helpful information for Montgomery County Public School parents will be available.
Prizes, gift certificates, hands-on learning and performances from community groups are all on deck for this year's Montgomery County Public Schools Back to School Fair. It's set for Saturday, Aug. 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive, in Rockville.
Besides activities for students, parents will have the opportunity to talk to county and school officials about the new Curriculum 2.0 and special programs, like magnet.
Free backpacks will not be given out at the fair this year, as they usually are. The school district decided to give the backpacks out at schools due to high demand last year.
Parking is limited, but free shuttle buses will run to and from the following locations beginning at 10:30 a.m.:
-Shady Grove Middle School
-Montgomery Blair High School
-Albert Einstein High School
-John F. Kennedy High School
-Northwest High School
-Richard Montgomery High School
-Rockville High School
-Paint Branch High School
-Seneca Valley High School
-Springbrook High School
-Watkins Mill High School
-Wheaton High School
