VIDEO: Randy Newman Brings Laughs to Strathmore
Show at the Music Center is songwriter's first after his big Oscar win.
was full of laughter on Wednesday as it welcomed recent Oscar winner Randy Newman to the stage.
Newman is known for hits like "Short People" and "I Love L.A." and has composed music for many films, including "The Natural," all three "Toy Story" films, "James and the Giant Peach," "A Bug’s Life" and Disney’s "The Princess and the Frog."
Although Newman has been nominated for an Oscar 20 times in the past 30 years, he scored just his second win on Sunday at the 83rd Academy Awards for “We Belong Together” from "Toy Story 3." He was won six Grammy Awards.
